5 Reasons
to get evaluated at DIA:
#1
DIA's evaluations can uncover the
underlying reason why a person is struggling in reading,
writing, or mathematics. We don't simply provide
"scores", we evaluate specifically WHY those scores
are being obtained. This is the only way to truly
identify root causes and understand how to most effectively
create an intervention plan.
#2
DIA's evaluations, though more
extensive than the majority of private testing centers, are
typically half the cost.
#3
DIA's process is timely. The
total time involved is typically 3 to 4 weeks. This is a
fraction of the time for typical school or private evaluations
which typically take months.
#4
DIA's can evaluations lead
directly to a detailed therapy intervention plan to
specifically address the clients needs. Our plans to well
beyond typical "individualized plans", by
specifically identifying specific techniques and therapies
that will be employed to help the client make maximum progress
towards fluency and retention.
#5
DIA can also present our results
directly to a school (or workplace) to help them understand
what exactly the issues and root causes are and what they can
do via accommodations to help.

Because the symptoms of Dyslexia and AD/HD-I (Inattentive Type,
also known as ADD) can be
very similar, it is important to test for both conditions to ensure a
proper testing conclusion. In fact, since 30 to 40% of people with
Dyslexia also have AD/HD (and visa-versa), it is important to
determine if the two conditions are co-existing so that the proper
remediation plan can be implemented.
