Real Testimonials from Local CT Parents
|

Mr. Lombardi is the father of Mike, student with Severe Dyslexia, that DIA has helped find real and lasting success. All previous school and learning center programs failed to provide a meaningful solution to Mike. Mike's success is a true testimonial to the power of our approach in dealing with learning difficulties. UPDATE 4/08: Mike is doing great in 8th grade as he just reached a solid 7th grade proficiency based on school SRI testing! Great Job Mike!

Mrs. Kassay with her daughter, Skylar, a bright girl that has found renewed success and self-esteem. Skylar's reading difficulties are based partly in Dyslexia and partly in attentional difficulties. DIA's program's address both aspects simultaneously to promote maximum growth.

Mrs. Levesque is the mother of Zachary, a very intelligent, creative and funny young boy, that was struggling academically despite school intervention. With DIA's assistance and his perseverance he is now reading above grade level, a result which is common among our program graduates.

Mrs. Elmy  speaks about her daughter, Alyssa, a wonderfully hardworking and intelligent 3rd grade girl that has gone from a <1.0 grade level reading fluency rating to a 2.2 reading fluency rating in just a 1 year at DIA.  This is typical of results experienced by many DIA students when they are taught using science-based methodologies in an appropriate environment.

I have a ten year old son with dyslexia. I have seen progress in his reading, spelling and writing. In general, I believe he is experiencing a "sense of relief" to be getting academic assistance here. He understands his disability better and can experience "success" within this program. After a few weeks  of therapy his teacher noted a change in him at school. Also his standardized test scores improved 55% this year. Lisa from Bristol, CT
We are very pleased with Pauline's rapport with [our son]. He seems to enjoy working with her and never complains about coming to therapy. The biggest difference we've noticed is his willingness to read everyday print, such as, signs, cereal boxes, game cards, etc. He very rarely did that before.
Heather from Hebron, CT
Our teenage daughter is a client who was diagnosed by DIA with dyslexia after many years of struggling academically. Her spelling has clearly improved, and very importantly, teachers and other school staff through DIA and their own testing now recognize the foundation of her struggles and are making appropriate accommodations. JoAnn from Hebron, CT
Extremely professional and supportive group of instructors who care about my son. Susan takes a lot of extra time in making sure [his] program is successful. She was also an active member at PPTs. Michael from Wethersfield, CT
